Kemarah’s Chasing Rainbows is a non-profit organization created in honor of a very special little girl, Kemarah Cager. Kemarah was diagnosed with an incurable heart disease at the age of 2. She was treated at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where she spent months at a time in the hospital. In May of 2013, Kemarah received a heart transplant and began a brand-new lease on life. Unfortunately, her suffering was not over and in December of 2014, Kemarah died due to complications of her transplant. Kemarah’s Chasing Rainbows was created to honor and inspire children (both big and small) who are facing or have faced “stormy” times in their lives. There is always hope, and the key is to look for the rainbow at the end of the storm. Kemarah faced many storms, but she was always Chasing after her Rainbow, thus our name, Kemarah’s Chasing Rainbows.
